1. Scope of this policy
Luckz4Vault is an independent editorial comparison site. We review and compare UK-licensed casino brands, publish methodology notes and provide affiliate links to third-party operators. We do not run gambling services, process player deposits, hold gaming accounts or make decisions on behalf of any casino. This policy applies to personal data handled through the Luckz4Vault website, including browsing data, contact enquiries and basic technical information collected during normal website operation.
When you leave this site by clicking an operator link, the privacy rules of that operator take over. Our policy no longer governs what happens inside the casino platform. You should therefore read both this policy and the policy of any third-party service you choose to use.
2. Data we collect
The information we collect is limited and depends on how you interact with the site. When you browse pages, we may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, approximate location derived from network data, pages visited, referral source, timestamps and general navigation patterns. When you use our cookie controls, we store a small local preference indicating whether you accepted or declined optional cookies.
If you contact us by email, we may process your name, email address, the content of your message and any details you choose to include. We do not ask for gambling account credentials, payment details or documents proving identity. If you send that kind of information voluntarily, we may delete it or request that you resend your enquiry without unnecessary sensitive material.
3. How data reaches us
Most data arrives through ordinary website use. Server logs may record technical events so the site can function, detect misuse and maintain security. Analytics or performance tools may record aggregated browsing patterns when enabled through consent settings. Contact data reaches us directly when you email our editorial or data protection channels. We may also receive limited affiliate reporting from partner programmes, such as confirmation that a click or registration originated from our site, but those reports normally do not identify you by full name.
We do not buy personal data from marketing brokers, and we do not assemble hidden user profiles from unrelated websites. Any use of third-party technology is intended to support measurement, site stability or administrative review rather than behavioural targeting.
4. Lawful bases under GDPR
Where UK GDPR applies, our main lawful bases are legitimate interests, consent and legal obligations. Legitimate interests cover the ordinary operation of an editorial website, including maintaining security, understanding how pages perform, responding to non-sensitive enquiries and measuring whether our published comparisons are being used. We rely on consent for optional cookies or technologies that are not strictly necessary. We may rely on legal obligations when required to retain records, deal with complaints properly or respond to lawful requests from regulators or authorities.
When we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our use is proportionate and whether your rights override our interest. We aim to keep data use narrow, practical and connected to the normal running of the site.
5. Why we use the data
We use personal data to operate and improve the site, respond to contact requests, maintain security, measure readership and understand whether affiliate links are functioning correctly. We may review browsing patterns to identify broken pages, poor mobile behaviour, navigation problems or abnormal traffic spikes. We may use contact data to answer editorial questions, investigate correction requests or deal with privacy-related issues. We may also keep records of correspondence where needed to show how a complaint or access request was handled.
We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not create credit profiles or gambling suitability profiles. The site is informational and comparative in nature.
6. Cookies and similar tools
Luckz4Vault uses a small number of browser-based tools to remember whether you passed the age gate and whether you made a cookie choice. Those records are stored locally in your browser using keys linked to the site. We may also use strictly necessary technologies for security, page performance and session continuity. Optional analytics or measurement tools, where used, are governed by consent choices. A fuller explanation appears in our separate Cookie Policy.
You can remove local storage items or cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may cause the age prompt or cookie notice to appear again on later visits.
7. Sharing with third parties
We may share data with carefully selected service providers who help us host, secure or analyse the site, provided they process data under suitable contractual restrictions. We may also share limited information with professional advisers where necessary for legal or compliance matters. Affiliate partners may receive technical referral information when you click an operator link so the referral can be attributed correctly. That process is a standard part of affiliate publishing.
We do not sell personal data. We do not hand over contact lists for unrelated marketing campaigns. If a third party receives data from us, it should only be for a clear operational, contractual or legal reason.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the UK. When that happens, we seek to use recognised transfer safeguards, such as adequacy regulations, contractual protections or equivalent legal mechanisms appropriate to the transfer route. The exact safeguard depends on the provider and where its infrastructure is located.
International transfer risk cannot be reduced to zero, especially on the modern web, but we aim to work only with providers that take security and data protection obligations seriously.
9. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Server and security logs are generally kept for a limited operational period unless a longer hold is needed to investigate abuse or a technical incident. Contact emails may be retained for as long as required to resolve the enquiry, maintain an internal record of the response, or address follow-up issues. Cookie preference records remain in your browser until they expire or are removed.
Where law requires a longer retention period, or where a dispute makes preservation necessary, we may keep selected records for longer than our usual schedule. Once the purpose ends, data should be deleted, anonymised or securely minimised.
10. Your rights
You may have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, ask for rectification of inaccurate data, request deletion, object to certain processing, request restriction of processing and ask for portability where applicable. Rights are not absolute, and the exact scope depends on the legal basis and the context in which the data is held. For example, we may need to keep some information where it is required to defend legal claims or comply with legal duties.
To exercise a privacy right, email dataprotection@luckz4vault.com with enough detail for us to understand the request. We may ask for information necessary to verify identity before taking action. If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may also raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
11. Security and storage
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. No internet system is perfectly secure, and visitors should recognise that sending data online always carries some level of risk. That said, we try to keep data volumes low, limit access to what is needed and avoid collecting sensitive information where there is no clear reason to do so.
If we become aware of a personal data incident affecting this site, we will assess the event and take action appropriate to the nature and seriousness of the risk.
12. Age policy
Luckz4Vault is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly seek personal data from children. The age gate is presented because this site covers gambling services and links to licensed casino operators. If you believe that data relating to a person under 18 has been provided to us, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
13. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy when the site changes, when legal requirements shift or when our processing practices are refined. The current version published on this page is the version that applies to your use of the site. Material updates will appear here with revised wording rather than buried in silent changes.
